I am a Brazilian artist and have a studio in the city of Londrina, Paraná (south of Brazil) since 1991.
It was around 1985, at a very young age, when I started studying and experimenting with visual arts. At the age of 18 I have already shown my work in collective shows and soon I realized this was the professional career I wanted to follow.
I graduated in Art Education at the state university of Londrina and due to two scholarships (British Council's and Rotary's) It was possible for me to continue my studies in England.
In 1989-1990 I did a postgraduate course at the Slade School of Fine Arts, specializing in painting and in 1994, master in fine arts at the Birmingham city University.
Since then, I undertook other courses in visual arts as well as engaged in and many professional activities, ranging from teaching at the university, designing masks for theatre productions, illustrating for books and CD covers, teaching privately at the studio and setting up a shop which exhibited and sold crafts from Brazil and abroad.
Nowadays, I still and work at my own studio in Londrina and look forward to exhibit and sell to a broader audience both in Brazil as well internationally.
I also would like to maintain contact with other artists and art lovers around the world.
